Blake Anthony EP Release Party At Columbia City Theatre August 30th

It’s not hard for me to admit that, at the moment, Blake Anthony is one of my favorite rappers in our region. He takes a modern approach to the old school hip-hop sound by meshing the best parts of both eras. His vocal tone carries the old soul of a pioneering emcee while his unexpected cadences flow over futuristic genre-fluid beats born out of the digital era. Blake Anthony is now releasing his self-titled debut EP, the first under his new moniker. On August 30th we celebrate the start of a new chapter in Blake’s musical journey.

Taking place at the historic Columbia City Theatre, Blake Anthony is carving out his own place in its history with this legendary lineup. He organized and booked the event, grabbing Seaan Brooks to help Anthony represent Tacoma on the mic. Qreepz will be spinning beats and later manning the ones and twos for TezaTalks, who just completely blew the roof off of the Wildrose Stage at Capitol Hill Block Party. To top off that already stacked lineup is Vitamin D, an absolute legend out of Seattle. A little birdie told me that this is going to be a very special performance that you won’t want to miss.
