NECANN or the New England Cannabis Convention is an annual event that is hosted in New England that primarily focuses on cannabis. Since 2014, NECANN has become the second-largest business-to-business cannabis convention in the country with shows across the East Coast. This year their prized Boston NECANN show will take place at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston from March 10-12th.
NECANN Cup
One event that will be held at the convention is the NECANN Cup, an annual competition that various forms of cannabis in different categories. Those categories include best beverages, best pre-rolls, and best flower. The flower category is split into four separate sub-categories which are best indica strain, best sativa strain, best hybrid strain and best CBD strain.

New England Cannabis Community Awards
Continuing with awards, the New England Cannabis Community Awards is an award ceremony that recognizes members of various cannabis communities throughout New England. People can vote on various categories like Best Medical Dispensary in Rhode Island or best Young Cannabis Entrepreneur. The ceremony will be taking place on March 10 at 7 pm and it is free to attend at Hynes Convention Center.
Ticketing
To purchase tickets for NECANN, you can make a reservation on their website or pay for tickets the day of the convention. The options for tickets include workshop tickets, which feature topics such as restricting your cannabis business and infused goods.
Workshop prices range from $50-$95 while 3-day passes range from $57.50 to $62.50. Prices are set to increase on March 4th. Both reservations and day of sales are cash-only purchases.
Event Details
When at NECANN, you cannot sell or buy any cannabis. On top of that, there are no video recordings allowed. Photos are allowed but it is advised to ask vendors if they allow photographs.
The expo starts at 10 am each of the three days but ends at 5 pm on the 10th and 11th and 4 pm on the 12th.

Some notable companies that will be sponsoring NECANN include Nova Farms, Berkshire Roots, AYR Wellness and Detroit Dispensing Solutions. All these companies and more will have tables at NECAAN which will be available during all three days of the convention.
