Brinkage Presents FilthFest: Seattle’s Grimiest Bass Music Festival

 FilthFest is back for its’ seventh year in a row and we couldn’t be more excited for the lineup (more to be announced).
A bass music show aimed at targeting the underground side of bass, FilthFest always features an artist you have never seen before. We got to sit down with the owner of Brinkage, Donovan Komac, to learn more about what FilthFest has to offer this year. The crew over at Brinkage really take pride in themselves on the talented performers and shows they host.
“There have always been a plethora of amazing dubstep events around the world that specifically showcase the style that we enjoy the most. We decided to take matters into our own hands and build something for the music rather than the money. We do not cut corners on our lineups, lighting production, and sound production.” said Donovan.
An idea originally developed in 2010, FilthFest spent the first five years of it’s existence in Bellingham. Last year was FilthFest’s first year in Seattle and the crew was really impressed with the response. While the location for this years’ event has yet to be announced, we know one thing is certain- the team at Brinkage has a reputation for upping their production level every year.
Known for bringing original artists on the cusp of blowing up, previous years have brought the likes of Dubloadz, Megalodon, Midnight Tyrannosaurus, Liquid Stranger and a few others. This year they’re bringing Ponicz for his first ever Seattle debut along with heavy hitter XaeboR.  FilthFest has become a place for attendees to enjoy some of the worlds most cutting-edge sounds.
“FilthFest has become something that we never dreamed of. The impact we’ve made makes us feel unbelievably good, and we can’t wait to continue building this monster. We’ve seen an increase of bass music interests shift from main-stage festival “Bro-Step” to head-pounding riddims & UK style dubstep.” Said Donovan.

Keep an eye out for phase two of the lineup. This show is already on the second-to-last tier of tickets so we recommend getting yours asap.
