CannaCon 2018: Why You Should Go Network With Washington's Cannabis Industry

CannaCon 2018: Why You Should Go Network With Washington’s Cannabis Industry

Taking place in February, CannaCon provides Washington with an event that provides incredibly powerful resources to the cannabis community. CannaCon provides the opportunity for brands to connect with the resources needed to prosper and grow, as well as consumers from the local market. This business to business networking platform leads to direct sales opportunities. Because of the relationships built at events like these, the cannabis industry continues to progress to new heights.

Hosted in Seattle and featuring over 400 exhibitors, people from all aspects of the cannabis community are encouraged to attend. Cannabis farms, retailers, investors, ancilllary businesses, and consumers that are looking to network or learn more about the industry’s latest products and trends should definitely go. Information on available seminars can be found here.

Last year’s event wasn’t jam packed and I loved that there really weren’t that many consumers who attended. This really allows for higher quality conversations and allows attendees the chance to spend more time with each new connection. If you’re considering buying a ticket and/or have a business in the marijuana industry, pay close attention to some of the data we dug up from MJBizCon 2017 this past November.

Less than 500 companies out of the 800+ that attended (MJBizCon) had a website.

Less than half of the total companies who attended had a Facebook.

Less than 200 companies were on Twitter.

Less than 150 companies were on LinkedIn.

We will share specifics about Washington’s current industry at a later time but you can bet that it’s fairly similar to that of Las Vegas and the guests at MJBizCon. People are focusing on growing and vendors days which means that now would be a great time to invest in branding, marketing, and a strong digital strategy.

This is 2018’s first major cannabis event here in Washington and we can’t wait to see how it plays out. Check out last year’s day 3 recap below then click here to buy tickets to CannaCon 2018.
