70 percent of Americans are craving more exciting sex, according to a recent study collaboratively published by OnePoll and PinkCherry. And for some, the ever-growing array of CBD products on the market are providing a natural solution.

The connection between CBD and sex may not be an obvious one. In fact, it’s perfectly understandable that many people might think this is nothing but novelty marketing gone mad. But a number of scientific studies have shown CBD to have a range of medicinal properties which could help make sex more enjoyable for everyone. From young women struggling with body shame and nervousness to middle-aged men looking for a boost in libido to older people whose aches, pains and stiffness make the act physically challenging, CBD could be an option worth exploring.

With that in mind, we’ve rounded up some of the best ways to use CBD products to spice it up in the bedroom, so that sex becomes more enjoyable than ever!

CBD Lube

Yep – you heard us correctly. Not only is CBD-infused lubricant now a thing, but it’s really taking off in the health and wellness sector as one of the trendiest ways to use CBD in your day to day life. But don’t discount it as a frivolous novelty. Lube can make sex more enjoyable for women who suffer from vaginal dryness, which becomes increasingly common and problematic as we age.

CBD Massage Oil

What could be better at getting you and your partner in the mood than a sensual massage using a good quality massage oil? Using a CBD massage oil, in particular, has added benefits too. While the oil softens and relaxes your skin, the cannabidiol has the same effect on the muscles and could leave you feeling light as a feather.

CBD Candles

Candles set the mood like nothing else does, but using a CBD infused candle could also reduce anxiety at the same time. Some studies have shown that vaping CBD is the fastest way to find relief from anxious thoughts. And although vaping and lighting a candle isn’t the same thing, it can’t hurt to get the mood going, right?

CBD Tinctures

If performance anxiety or body consciousness are things that really get in the way of your sex life, then working a CBD tincture into your daily diet could do wonders for your frame of mind in bed. Be careful to only use a full-spectrum CBD oil that has been independently lab tested, like this one, and always stick with your recommended dosage for maximum results and maximum fun.

CBD Capsules

If tinctures aren’t for you (some people find the taste of CBD too nasty to tolerate) but you’re still keen to use CBD to manage your anxiety, then a soft gel capsule like this one could be the perfect solution. Just follow the same rules as above and you should enjoy less anxiety and better sex in a matter of days.

CBD Muscle Rub

Muscle pain can really get in the way of enjoyable sex. Whether you’ve got a nagging ache from a sports injury, excessive training or a chronic pain condition, CBD muscle rubs have been proven to effectively reduce pain and increase mobility. Apply one an hour before you plan to get down and replace your pain with pleasure.

CBD Edibles

Edibles are one of the most popular ways to enjoy CBD today. And adding a CBD-infused chocolate sauce or honey to your bedroom play is definitely one way to up the fun-factor in the bedroom. And the good news is that there’s more choice of high quality edibles than there’s ever been before!

CBD Cocktails

Okay so you don’t suffer from anxiety per se, but you get a little nervous before the big event. Don’t worry, you’re not alone. The good news is that a little nightcap before bedtime could really help to turn those nerves into excitement, especially if you use a CBD or cannabis-infused alcohol. However, if you are going to use a cannabis-infused product don’t forget to first double check whether or not it will show up on a drug test, if you’re expecting one soon.
