Bay area hip-hop artist Chris O’Bannon will be joining the DayDream Festival lineup on June 19th in LA. Originally from Compton, O’Bannon offers an array of styles throughout his music that includes many R&B and hip-hop influences. A large portion of these sounds compliment his roots in Compton, but also incorporate the stylistic tendencies from the Bay area as well.
We recently saw the release of his latest EP titled Sauce Meets World, as it showcases O’Bannon’s flexibility and versatility as an artist. What is most impressive is the work he does vocally. While it’s common to see artists repetitively displaying a certain style or mood, O’Bannon shifts his focus on providing his listeners with many different emotions, moods, and styles.
