Up and coming artist CloudNone has brought us a brand new vibin’ remix of his track “From Here” spun by ATTLAS. About two years ago CloudNone dropped “From Here” which shook the dance community.
The original cut is a slow, melodic melody featuring simple yet touching lyrics. Interestingly, the entire song is composed of what seems a repetitive synth progression and a soothing piano riff. Nonetheless, the upbeat high hats balance out the somewhat melancholy feel the track has.
In the past, CloudNone has always been passionate about producing but it wasn’t until two years ago that he found himself on the map. In light of the success he saw from “From Here,” the song was featured in the popular game Rocket League. Since then over two million streams have been recorded on Spotify.
Introducing ATTLAS
Comparatively, ATTLAS is a more seasoned Canadian producer. Not only has he become known for his incredible remix skills, many thought he was a project of deadmau5 after his hit remix of “Aural Psynapse.”
Similarly, ATTLAS kept with the sultry-like feel of CloudNone’s track. He embraced the spacey type synth rhythm while adding his own touch. The remixed version is fuller if that makes sense. ATTLAS definitely played around with the feel of the song eventually settling on adding a more defined back beat. What started off as a simple piano beat has been transformed into an odyssey of different sounds and nuances.
The incredible thing about remixes like these is that you almost get to experience the track twice. Hearing it in two different ways, both done equally well but have the ability to showcase each artist’s touch.
CloudNone and ATTLAS are similar in their shy demeanors. This is something beautiful I find in both of them and the way it can be heard in their music. Art is such an intimate production it’s impossible to hide your heart in your work. ‘From Here’ is now streaming everywhere. Go check it out!
