Legendary Rap Group Das EFX Invades Seattle

“Bum stiggedy bum stiggedy bum, hon.” It’s not too often a group can say that they brought something truly original and influential to hip-hop music as late as the 90’s like Das EFX can. Rapidfire style, imaginative lyricism and word association coupled with a stream-of-consciousness rant, rich in pop culture references.

It was a completely original rhyme style in 1992 when Das EFX dropped, Dead Serious. The album went platinum and it’s lead single, ‘They want EFX’ reached the top ten on Billboard’s R&B chart.

Das EFX is composed of the Brooklyn-bred William “Skoob aka Books” Hines and New Jersey native Andre “Krazy Drayz” Weston. The two met in 1988 while both attending Virginia State University.

They will be bringing their’ ubiquitous “Iggety” style to Seattle on May 27th at The Crocodile.  Local support is provided by Soul the Interrogator, Edibles, Ambush and Bari Bux. Music will be provided by DJ Peg.

You can purchase tickets online via The Crocodile here.
