Dave East just purchased a new store in Harlem and praised Nipsey Hussle for laying down the “blueprint” that inspired him.
He posted photos and a video of his new convenience store on his Instagram account and captioned it:
“Bought My First Store Today. I Told Nipsey He Laid The Blueprint For Real Ones Everywhere. Wish Shooter Could See This Shit. Coming Soon 2022 [emoji] Couldn’t Have Made This Happen Without @queenofharlem The Realest!!!”

Dave East was known to be very close with the perceptive Nipsey Hussle. East learned many things about business, life, and community from Hussle. In fact, East told Revolt TV that they were working on a project together before his death. He hopes to keep the legacy of his dear friend alive through his business moves and his commitment to his people and community.
East is a Harlem native and a rapper who has shown skills in other areas such as acting and entrepreneurship. Prior to this, he dropped his own cannabis strain joining other rappers like Nipsey Hussle who have ventured into the cannabis industry.
The Realest Real Estate Agent
In Tuesday’s post, East also gave a shoutout to his real estate agent Michelle Smalls who also made her own post about the rapper’s purchase. While she gave more shots of the store, you hear them discuss what’s staying and what’s leaving the store.
The public doesn’t know the plans for the Harlem store, yet. However, Smalls has shared that she has a bit of insight on the Dave East store when he “kept it 100.” The caption on her post adds, “time to buy the block.” She also gave herself a quick little plug by adding in the cool $70k she saved East on this purchase.
Though Nipsey Hussle’s life ended abruptly in a terrible manner, the people have found solace in seeing his inspiration and vision be passed on to others who knew him and were close to him like Dave East. The Respect My Region team is almost certain that this is just the first of many establishments Dave East will be getting into in his hometown of Harlem.
