UNCF advocates for HBCUs and the students they serve are facing severe challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. UNCF has taken huge steps to help students suffering in this crisis by advocating for greater federal funding for HBCUs, and other Minority Serving Institutions by distributing emergency funding, scholarships, and leading efforts to secure online capabilities for HBCUs to deliver coursework.

“We all need to invest our time and effort in supporting better education systems in our communities, creating a college-going culture in the African American community and guiding the young people in our lives toward a better future.”
