Deadmau5 Brings “Cube V3” To Sell Out Crowd At WaMu Theater

On Thursday night Joel Zimmerman, also known as Deadmau5 brought his 19 stop, North American tour to WaMu theater along with openers Qrion and MSTRKRFT. The night was kicked off with Qrion as the first opener followed by MSTRKRFT and the two opening acts did an amazing job setting the tone for the evening. By the time Joel started playing, the crowd seemed to be warmed up and ready for the man himself. This time around, Joel brought his latest spin of the world-renown “Cube.” Titled “Cube V3” the cube-like structure Deadmau5 plays behind slowly rotates around his DJ stage.

This allows fans to experience futuristic and wild visuals on the screens of the cube, which faces the crowd but every so often fans are able to watch it rotate and expose the man behind the turntables.

After what is said to be the 9th edition of the cube, it is a big improvement from the previous one that used to remain still and in place. This updated version has allowed fans to experience a similar show but in a way more personal and creative level. Plus fans get to see more of Joel! He did another amazing set, this time playing for over two hours with better lighting and production. Overall, it was another successful evening seeing Deadmau5 and he left fans thrilled with what they were just apart of.
