Dillon Francis Shuts Down WaMu Theater With Flosstradamus, Valentino Khan, & Dot | Recap

While everybody was walking into day one of EDC, those of us in Seattle were walking into WaMu Theater to see Dillon Francis, Flosstradamus, Valentino Khan, and Dot perform. Notably, the last time Dillon Francis played here in Seattle was back in 2019. He was scheduled to perform back in November of 2021, but that show had to be rescheduled. After patiently waiting six long months, I was finally ready to get down and dirty to some Dillon Francis.

Valentino Khan at WaMu Theater

I arrived a little later in the evening, right when Valentino Khan was stepping onto the stage. Valentino Khan really showed up to throw down, playing all the bangers and anthems. Following Valentino Khan was Flosstradamus, whom I was really excited to see again. The last time I saw Flosstradamus was his last headlining show in Tacoma back in 2016.

Flosstradamus was amping us up for Dillon, which was exactly what we needed. He told the crowd about how they tried to play this show three times, which I didn’t even know about. He brought the vibe that turned WaMu into its own EDC, producing the same feelings as if we would have been there watching the show under the electric sky.

After Flosstradamus, Dillon Francis took the stage. The last time that he had played here was back in 2019 for his brother’s birthday. It was long overdue to have him play here again. The second Dillon stepped on the stage the vibe and the crowd felt like they both had just leveled up.

Dillon knows how to please a crowd, he played everything that we could have wanted to hear. The old bangers like, “Sabotage,” by The Beastie Boys and the G.O.A.T. song, “Party Rock Anthem,” by LMFAO. Then, of course, his own bangers including songs off his recently released album Happy Machine. It made me so happy to finally hear those songs live. During his set, Dillon brought out Valentino Khan to play their new hit together, “Move It.” On top of that, Dillon also gave us a sneak peek of his brand-new song with Illenuim and Evan GIIA coming out soon.

Seattle holds a special place in Dillon’s heart because his brother is living here. His family was at the show, and he brought them out on stage at the end. You could feel the sense of warmth and love coming from the crowd a vice versa from Dillon. It definitely felt like the ending of a one-night-only Seattle EDC event. Hopefully, Dillon comes back to Seattle soon, we know he really loves it here.
