Dismal Harmony in Denver, Colorado, has been hard at work developing a dreamy sound that blends everything from jam to electronic and more. Brothers, Jagger and Stryker take multiple genres, mesh them together, and create a vibe that is totally their own.
Styles of their newest songs can range from fun and playful like the track “White Couch,” to more emotional and heavy in tracks like “Time” and “Ecology of Souls.” Dismal Harmony likes to keep strong roots but drifts from the expected with wild loop improvisations and weird guitar chord changes.

Stryker Holland originally got turned onto using Ableton from The Rust’s jazzy beat-maker, ‘Squalpat”. Stryker mixes and lays down vocals while Jagger is the musical mastermind and writes everything. With the combination of Styker’s mixing background and Jagger’s transcendent guitar, Dismal Harmony evokes a “conglomerate cluster-f***“ of sound while still being ultra “pleasing to the brain,” describes Stryker Holland.
Dismal Harmony has been playing together ever since they were little kids. However, they never had the time, equipment, or skillset to start legitimizing their sound until now. Drawing inspiration from the talent of current jam rock bands and even the Colorado/New York bass music scene, their sound is diverse. You might hear flashes of anything from the bands, Lotus, and Twiddle to Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Dismal Harmony will release their first EP by the end of this summer. Additionally, they want to record every track they’ve written so far as well as go harder with EQs and mastering. You can expect a balance of goofiness and more consciousness pondering like on their track “Time.” This song takes a more intense direction as Jagger and Stryker sing about the meaning of time. They question its relativity, and how it can have the power to enhance perspective and help heal.
