Don Toliver is celebrating the release of his latest full length album. Titled Life Of A Don, this album marks the Texas rapper’s second major label studio record. Following the success of Heaven Or Hell, this album remains consistent in its tone and texture. Toliver’s latest work picks up the torch of his previous work with Travis Scott and his Cactus Jack imprint.

This new project includes a massive amount of material. Coming in at 16 songs, Life Of A Don’s runtime is about 52 minutes. While including a large number of songs, each track carries its own weight. Travis Scott is featured twice on the album, appearing on “Flocky Flocky” and “You.” Further, both tracks feature amazing lyricism from both rappers, as they trade off on melodic verses.
Additionally, Toliver has included a track featuring up-and-coming rapper Baby Keem, who he recently collaborated with on Keem’s The Melodic Blue. This song includes serious low end 808s, an arpeggiated synth, and an amazing hook from Don Toliver. Keem delivers a solid verse at the end of this song as well.

Life Of A Don Features Production That is Just as Stellar as its Lyrics
Production-wise, this project is stellar to say the least. It follows the same psychedelic/melodic style that Travis Scott often utilizes. Life Of A Don doesn’t lose steam either. Sequentially, the album takes the listener on an elaborate ride of hype and sentimental moments. A few tracks include incredible instrumental passages in the beginning and ends of the songs. It is a sound and style that only a handful of artists can pull off. Don Toliver proves that there is no limit to the sonic capability of rap and trap music.
While celebrating this new release, Toliver is also enjoying a new collaboration with clothing company Guess. Additionally, the rapper has been showing off a new chain dedicated to his new masterpiece. With new drip and new material to perform, it seems like this is only the beginning for Don Toliver. Hopefully he will take this new project on the road soon. However, in the meantime, fans of rap music will sink their teeth into Life Of A Don.
