PreSale Tickets Now On Sale For Dope Music Festival 3

Dope Music Festival is the Northwest’s only 100% hip-hop festival that I actually look forward to year in and year out. This year’s event was announced for December 17th at the Tacoma Dome and now 6 artists from their lineup have recently announced via the Dope Music Festival 3 Facebook page.

Knowing how Sky Movement does things, #DMF3 is going to be bigger and better than either of the previous two years. Each Dope Music Festival has featured a few local talents and about five major artists. Clemm Rishaad and Will Jordan are two of the region’s premier artists and hopefully will be on the bill again as local openers for year three.

The first year was sponsored by one of the most well-known cannabis companies, Dama, and featured Chris Brown, Schoolboy Q and Tyga as the major artists. Tyga was the first major performer and I got to educate him on the area codes we rep here in Seattle/Tacoma. Chris Brown and Schoolboy Q followed Tyga up and delivered with all-star performances.

Dope Music Festival 2 took place at Comcast Xfinity Arena up in Everett, WA and featured Rich Homie Quan, K. Camp, Lil Dicky and Lil Wayne as the major performers on the bill. K. Camp and Lil Dicky were my two favorite thanks to the crowd and Lil Wayne’s voice sounding like a screaching bird.

I’m not sure what happened with Weezy’s voice or if the sound issue was from shitty audio at Comcast Arena but either way I’m looking forward to this year’s festival and can’t wait to see who all gets announced.
