There’s no two ways around it; we just have the best EDM playlist. Respect my Region’s EDM Fresh Drops consists of only brand-new bass, house, jungle, brostep, and plenty of other niche genres. The playlist changes every single week as new artists drop songs that catch our attention.
You can find our playlist via Spotify by hitting the embed below. Last Friday, a ton of crazy new music came out and we restocked nearly the entire playlist. To feature some of the more outstanding artists, we’ve compiled a few with backlinks to their discography so you can see and learn more.

VAMPA, ZíA – “New Levels”
Dubstep
We always love to see female DJs in a predominately male demographic. That connotation digs even deeper into the subgenre namesake “brostep,” which came after dubstep basically pledged a frat. What’s better yet, VAMPA and ZíA have easily blown several other big names out of the water by creating a badass incantation of refurbished oldskool style bass.
“New Levels” doesn’t need to scream at you to hit, either. Many brostep artists are guilty of making overly screechy drops that lose actual bass, but not VAMPA and ZíA. “New Levels” fits snuggly into a two-step beat with thick drum samples and a grimy, yet even thicker bass. They have walked the line quite cleverly between quality dubstep and modern, American brostep.
Razihel – A Song About You
Happy Hardcore
Anyone else remember Razihel’s old Monstercat days? Hell, I still consider his collab with Varien, “One For All, All For One” as one of the best dubstep tracks ever. We’re talking about a veteran of low-BPM bass and trap mixes, here. Razihel proved this week he continues to innovate with this Hardcore beat.
“A Song About You” definitely has a joyful tune, but that doesn’t make it slow-paced. This track takes your heartstrings and runs a mile a minute with them. Razihel may have left the Monstercat fam behind, but don’t sleep on his new moves, because he’s still killing it for sure.
Apashe, YMIR – Never Change
Glitch Hop
We’re big Apashe fans over here. We featured his previous single, “Time Warp,” a couple months ago. Now, “Never Change” serves as the next teaser for his one-of-a-kind project, “I Killed the Orchestra,” slated for the end of the year. Compared to the dubstep aspects of “Time Warp,” this glitch hop-inspired song is definitely an Apashe mix.
Anyone who listens to Apashe already knows this guy loves classical/romantic era instrumentation. It’s likely that if he could, Apashe would bring a whole symphony to accompany him at raves. This classical infusion of brass, winds, and strings combined with songwriter and singer YMIR’s soul-prickling vocals makes for a powerful and hair-standing sonic experience.
Carpenter Brut – Leather Teeth (Rob De Large, Ian Jury Remix)
Synthwave/Retrowave
We don’t usually get any synthwave on this playlist, but this remix of Carpenter Brut’s flagship track off his latest album downright slaps. For just a few minutes, allow the 80’s nostalgia, coated in grime and gore, sink in while we clarify just how big of a deal Carpenter is. “Leather Teeth” is just one of several skull-busting beats that continuously rack up millions of streams.
Carpenter Brut is a French EDM composer who recreates 80’s soundscapes reminiscent of old slasher and sci-fi films. His work runs deep, repeatedly creating music for games like the Hotline Miami series. His craftsmanship is far from obscured in this remix, which Rob De Large and Ian Jury utilized to bring out even darker, deadpan elements.
Vorso – Honx
Darkstep/Drumstep
Talk about genre-bending, seriously. The drum n bass elements of Vorso’s “Honx” are particularly spread thin, but they still keep this song in a high tempo setting. When you throw this track on you will find that it is extremely upbeat and jam-packed with dubstep-style bass slurs.
This is the content that new-age ravers should be hunting for. Artists like Vorso manage to take everything good about over-saturated genres and inject them into a brand-new style. “Honx” is a furious, baller darkstep beat worthy of all of your love. Make sure to check out Vorso for more curious tracks like this.
