For the last two years I’ve started off my summer festivities going to Summer Jam out at the Gorge. I’ve been able to see many of my favorite rappers and am excited to announce the lineup for this years concert! Seeing a bunch of major artists perform back to back in such a beautiful venue truly sets Summer Jam apart from any other rap show I’ve been to. Last year featured two days of festivities and had numerous ‘OG’ rappers perform on the first day and a set of newer aged rappers for the second. Summer Jam is the big Washington State festival that brings major rappers such as Ice Cube, Big Sean, Trey Songs, J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T, Wale, Rick Ross and many others. This year they’ve added a couple newbies to their usual star-filled lineup and I am super excited to see how these guys stack up next to the filthiest rappers from the last 15 years.
For the 2015 Summer Jam lineup, Sky Movement and Kube 93 have partnered to bring Kid Ink, Tech N9ne, Action Bronson, B.O.B., Joey Bada$$, E-40, and T.I.! There will also be two local stars rocking the stage so be sure to show them some love too. Clemm Rishad and Will Jordan are two of the Pacific North West’s best entertainers and most talented writers. (I caught their sets at DOPE Music Festival…Incredible.) They are part of the Sky Movement group that is helping to host and promote Summer Jam and these guys are definitely two of the most deserving individuals for such a big opportunity. Shouts to Sky Movement for representing Tacoma and throwing such DOPE shows!
