Shouts to USC Events and C89.5 for announcing Deadmau5, Tiesto, Adventure Club, DJ Carnage, Pete Tong, Nicky Romero, Diplo, and Nero as part of the first round of Freaknight 2015 artists!
Earlier this week USC Events announced 8 of the artists scheduled to perform at this years’ Freaknight 2015 music festival. This first phase of announcements gives us dance music fans the chance to see which of the dopest and most experienced DJs we can expect to see at the Tacoma Dome on October 30th and 31st. I can’t wait to see all the freaks come out this Halloween and am excited to share this awesome lineup!
I’m sure people are disappointed that we’ll all be headed out to Tacoma for Freaknight 2015. Having to switch venues after experiencing such incredible shows out at Wamu is something I feel the North West should definitely take in-stride since every time something goes wrong in the overall scheme of things, USC Events goes out of their way to make sure us fans get taken care of. I think it’s important that the fans across the PNW take a step back to really look at a few of the positives going into this year’s festival.
The two headliners, Deadmau5 and Tiesto, are world class acts and are considered OGs in the dance music community.
With over 40 years of combined DJing experience, both Deadmau5 and Tiesto are two examples of top-notch artists that USC Events is paying maximum dollars for. I would bet big bucks that the special fx for both of these artists will be insane!
Deadmau5 is one crazy-a$$ dude and is guaranteed to put on an incredible show when he headlines the first night. To me, Tiesto is a bucket-list artist and someone that I definitely need to see before I decide to call this lifestyle quits. I would recommend that between now and October 30th, you definitely start jammin’ the playlist I’ve put together for you down below!
Diplo and DJ Carnage are going to blow away the Tacoma Dome!
The first time I saw DJ Carnage was in 2013 down in Houston, TX. I was out at this venue called Stereo Live when Carnage came in with Zomboy and threw down one of the craziest sets I’ve ever experienced still to this day. The sounds that come through the speakers during a Carnage set literally take the crowd from 0-100 in a matter of seconds and Mr. Chipotle Gang always delivers the ‘perfect’ festival trap set.
Diplo was actually in the Pacific North West fairly recently. He is well known for delivering quite the ratchet experience and my time out at Life In Color SeaTac last spring was the definition of crazy. I hadn’t been to an indoor Life In Color event before and was literally blown away by how wild it got when Diplo finally started mixing. Although I wasn’t a fan of the paint, Diplo’s set was pure fire and displayed his abilities as both DJ and producer. When you give thousands of raging young adults to express themselves I have now witnessed what can happen. You can bet that Diplo will do everything possible to give us fans the best Halloween possible.

In case you don’t really know what Freaknight is I’ve included the trailer from last year’s festival! Freaknight is one of the longest running rave themed events here in Seattle. This particular event is costume themed and people spend tons of time planning their costumes for the entire weekend. USC Events does a great job at creating awesome visuals for these events so be sure to watch all the way through so you can get a good idea of what to expect.
