5 Must-See Sets At The Governors Ball NYC Festival This Year

The Governors Ball is one of New York’s most iconic festivals since 2011 and has become a popular way to celebrate the start of summer. Their lineups are curated to showcase some of the best current and up-and-coming talents. The festival truly encompasses the spirit of New York; it’s created by New Yorkers, for New Yorkers. The all-ages festival allows for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you’re going to Governors Ball NYC this year, here are some incredible artists to check out.

So, this is an incredible opportunity to see him perform since there are no tour plans in the near future for him. Kid Cudi will be closing the main stage (Governors Ball NYC Stage) on Friday, I highly recommend catching his set!

Channel Tres | Friday, June 10

Channel Tres is a smaller but incredibly talented artist. Although his career started relatively recently, he has found tremendous success already. Channel Tres has collaborated with many phenomenal musicians, such as Tyler, the Creator, Tinashe, Disclosure, Emotional Oranges, TOKiMONSTA, and more. So, I believe that Channel Tres will shine even brighter with more time and experience.

Joji | Saturday, June 11

After Joji’s very publicly devastating performance at Coachella, he has returned to the stage again at Gov. Ball. Joji is an incredible artist who pours out all his emotions in his performance. Many fans have found solace and comfort through his music as it resonates deeply. If you’re going to stop by his set, prepare some tissues because it might get a little emotional.

Ashnikko is an absolute star with explosive energy. She is unapologetically herself, which reflects through her music. She found success via TikTok when her song with Yung Baby Tate, “Stupid” went viral. Ashnikko was put on the radars of successful artists such as Danny Brown and Doja Cat. she’ll be closing out the BACARDÍ Stage on Saturday. If you enjoy her performance, consider seeing her on tour in the fall!

Kaytranada is a superstar within the world of hip-hop and R&B. He has established himself through a decade-long career and is recognized by many rappers and singers through his production.
