Days after delaying Grand Theft Auto VI by a full calendar year, Rockstar let us get our beaks wet with a brand new trailer and slew of new information about the cast of characters we will encounter and destinations we will visit in May 2026. If you’re reading this, you absolutely need to give the official website a peruse; it’s a great experience to scroll through and learn about the game.
The trailer is classic GTA vibes with a level of graphical rendering worthy of drooling over. Fun characters engaging in all kinds of anti-social behavior, beautiful locations, and lots of violence, we expect nothing else from the biggest and hopefully best GTA entry to date.

GTA 6: Another Eccentric Cast of Characters and Locations
The GTA VI map is bigger and more detailed than ever, featuring several massive locations including Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gelhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga. Each location is wildly different than the last, giving players six distinct locations to explore and create chaos all over.
Veteran gamers will be all too familiar with Vice City, but it’s the new locations that draw the eye. Ambrosia is an industrial city in the heart of the Leonida Keys, and it’s controlled by the local biker gang. Port Gelhorn is known as the forgotten coast of Leonida, but there’s plenty of truck stop meth and dirt bike trails to make up for the lack of tourism. The Grasslands is a giant swamp where gators and hover boats run wild, and who knows what other secrets are hiding beneath the muddy water and mangrove trees.
The game releases on next-generation consoles on May 26, 2026, and more information about presales will be released at a later date.
