Friendly Farms has become a name widely known around California for producing quality cannabis cartridges. When I got my hands on the Gushers live resin cart from their collaboration with Connected Cannabis Co. I was ready to taste the terps. I’m a huge fan of pure, full-spectrum cannabis oil in vape cartridges that you can smoke discreetly for the strain-specific effects. Friendly Farms took the well-known Gushers strain that Connected has had on lock from Cookies Fam genetics and refined it into live resin BHO. The Gushers strain comes from crossing Gelato #41 and Triangle Kush.
This cart came with all the tell-tale signs of being tasty. It had the rich color of a live resin that told me it wasn’t diluted in any way, and all signs point to quality when looking at both brands. The hardware that the oil came in didn’t have any brand-specific logos on it, but it was a reliable CCell cartridge nonetheless. I got it set up with my battery and took several pulls short and long, looking for heavy berry flavors with a mixture of floral cakiness. I, unfortunately, couldn’t find many flavors when pulling on this cart. You can usually taste a little bit of grassiness or even a slight taste of the solvent with a live resin cartridge, but this one was a little strong on these flavors.

The Triangle Kush should have brought ample myrcene to the table to make this a pretty relaxing smoke. Not to mention that Gelato #41 is a cross between Thin Mint Cookies and Sunset Sherbert. This should have brought in a solid gassy citrus flavor to add to the floral sweetness. Based on the genetics that this live resin came from I was one hundred percent expecting a berry blast of flavor that would have brought on an immense chill. The cart still gave big pulls and big smoke, but I found myself searching for the flavor on higher and lower temps.
I could mostly only taste an earthy smoke that had lingering cakiness, but little-to-no berry or sweet flavor was there. The high that came was prevalent and did relax the nerves, but the experience was fleeting. My best advice for enjoying a cart such as this is to hit it on the lowest temp possible. There may have been more flavor on a lower temp that I wasn’t getting with my assortment of batteries for 510 thread carts.
