Fresh lobster rolls and seafood might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Spokane. Chef Chad White of High Tide Lobster Bar is aiming to change that.
White, a Spokane native, is no stranger to Seafood, having opened the popular Zona Blanca ceviche in Spokane in 2016, stemming from a deep passion for seafood cultivated during time spent in San Diego.
Above the Nuemerica Credit Union in downtown Spokane, High Tide Lobster Bar is buzzing. The menu is simple and straight forward, surf, turf, and vegetarian. Lobster rolls, short rib rolls, surf and turf rolls, or a mushroom roll are the main courses. These entrees are accompanied by clam chowder and salads. White is again bringing fresh seafood to Spokane, this time with an authentic taste of New England.
Make sure you come early if you want a chance at devouring one of these buttery indulgences. Their highly sought after lobster rolls frequently sell out (their hours are listed as 11 am – until sold out.) The day we visited we overheard one worker on the phone state, “We are going to make it to 3 pm today, I believe.” S
Having lived in Connecticut from ages 9-13, one bite of this lobster roll and I was back on the edge of the water in Mystic, CT with my mom eating lobster rolls and trying in vain to count sailboat masts in the harbor.
