As a Florida medical marijuana patient, my mind was blown when I stepped foot inside my first recreational dispensary. During a recent trip to Denver, Colorado, I checked out Lemonnade, a branded dispensary founded by the renowned Cookies.
When I entered Lemonnade, I was met with a dispensary environment unlike anything I’ve seen in Florida. The first thing that sparked my senses was the blaring hip-hop music – which checks out, as the CEO of Cookies, Berner, is a rapper himself. In fact, the store had CDs of his brand new album, GOTTI, for sale right at the register.
I went into the dispensary with no exact plans of what I was going to cop, and really no clue of what anything would cost. But that was not an issue at all, as a wonderful budtender walked me through the whole store. She recommended a variety of products and I ended up walking out with half a dozen items. In this article, I’m highlighting and reviewing my favorite of the six – the 100mg Strawberry Highgrade Rosin Syrup.
100mg Strawberry Highgrade Rosin Syrup Review
Testing the Highgrade Rosin Syrup was a total treat, and a potent one at that. The whole bottle contains 100mg of THC with 25 doses, each containing 4mg. In Denver, CO, it costs $19.77 plus tax. To measure the dose, the bottle suggests using the cap. This works, but it got a little messy at times. You can also mix it in food or beverages.
Now, what made this product my favorite out of everything I bought is the combination of the incredible flavor, with balanced, undeniable effects.
Flavor & Texture
The syrup is made with only seven ingredients including: water, sugar, lecithin, flavor, coconut oil, cannabis oil, and natural coloring. This creates a consistency that is pretty thin and light, with it also still being a syrup texture.
The flavor itself is the star of the show. The flavor tastes similar to strawberry lollipops, but a lot more natural tasting. The cannabis flavor is only slight and doesn’t stick around in your mouth after consuming. Furthermore, I didn’t notice any weird aftertastes from this product, just a pleasant fruity flavor.
Experience & Effects
From my experience, this rosin syrup was more potent than other types of edibles I have tried. 10mg of this felt stronger than a typical 10mg edible that I would get from a Florida dispensary.
Since the bottle doesn’t specify a strain or whether it is sativa, indica, or hybrid, I was unsure what to expect. That said, the effects I felt from the Highgrade Rosin Syrup felt pretty balanced. I tried it multiple times, including during the daytime, in the evening, and before bed, and it felt fitting for each moment.
The most prominent feelings I noticed were a decrease in stress and an increase in relaxation, but without a sleepy or groggy feeling. The rosin syrup was a great companion for a hike in the mountains, as well as for relaxing on the couch afterwards while eating a solid meal. It also helped me sleep through the night.
Overall, this is a Colorado edible product I can confidently recommend and would purchase again.
