Hip-Hop Holidays Playlist 2018 Ft. Raz Simone, Tyler The Creator, And More

Tis’ the season for bars and trap beats “Fa la la la la, la la la la.” Artists everywhere have wrapped up their best Christmas tracks and have left them under the tree for the world to stream. Below, we have featured the newest releases from Anderson .Paak, Tyler the Creator, Lil Mosey, and Raz Simone. We’ve also put together a Holiday Hip-Hop playlist featuring new and old rap classics for the 2018 holiday season.

Anderson .Paak “Linus and Lucy”

This year, Anderson .Paak paid tribute to the iconic holiday movie, A Charlie Brown Christmas, by covering the classic song, “Linus and Lucy.” It’s difficult to cover a song that pretty much everybody in the world is familiar with. But, .Paak did a great job of adding some modern pizzazz to the piece.

Tyler, the Creator The Grinch Soundtrack

Tyler, the Creator gave us two amazing gifts this season. He performed two songs on the soundtrack for the new animated remake of Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch. Two of the best songs, I might add, “I Am The Grinch,” and “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch.”

Tyler, the Creator “I Am The Grinch” (Lyric Music Video)

Shortly after the movie release, Tyler released a brand new EP inspired by his work on the movie. Which was made very apparent by the blunt title, Music Inspired By Illumination And Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch.

Raz Simone “Santa Claus”

This year Santa Claus hit the trap house first and never came out, so Raz Simone had to step in. Coming from the south side of Who-Ville, Raz brings the sauce to the classic holiday cut “Carol of the Bells.”

Lil Mosey “K for Christmas”

I’m not too thrilled to include Lil Mosey on this list, but I’m also not mad at it. The song, “K for Christmas,” is surprisingly smooth to listen to. This one is definitely for the young kids who don’t need much other than a dope beat and one catchphrase.

Aloe Blacc Christmas Funk

Now you’re not going to find much rapping on this album. But, Aloe Blacc released Christmas Funk at the beginning of November and I’m obsessed. There is nothing silent about any night if this record is on.
