"Gold (Stupid Love)"

Illenium & Excision Drop Their Highly-Anticipated Track “Gold (Stupid Love)” feat. SHALLOWS

After weeks of anticipation, Illenium and Excision have finally dropped their collaborative track “Gold (Stupid Love)” featuring vocalist SHALLOWS. In the collaboration of a century, these two high-energy dance artists come together for an instant classic, churning out heavy base in this dubstep-style track that leaves the listener breathless.

Illenium has been feeling the love from his fans lately; his 2017 album Awake was a hit in the EDM community, and widely praised for its creative storytelling throughout his melodic bass and dubstep style. Now, teaming up with dubstep master Excision, “Gold” is an instant classic – its complexity requiring a few listens to really appreciate the intricate layers of kicks and snares. Vocalist SHALLOWS elevates this track to a higher plane, delivering an emotional performance that plays well against the heavy baseline.

Illenium has released an album every year since 2016, debuting his last album Awake in September 2017. He released a remixes album last month for Awake, but we have yet to see a full-length album with new music for 2018. Could there be another full studio album on the horizon? If his next album sounds anything like “Gold”, we can be sure that it won’t disappoint.
