Respect My Region is an award-winning music, cannabis, and lifestyle publication that is based in Seattle, WA. The company is offering numerous unpaid remote internships, each with the opportunity for commission, to current and recent university students located in the United States.
Each of the unpaid internships below would run for approximately 20 hours per week for 90 days with the opportunity for a letter of recommendation from the RMR CEO, Mitch Pfeifer, a LinkedIn recommendation post from Respect My Region Chief Operations Officer Joey Brabo, and consideration for paid contractual work upon completion.
Our company aims to provide internships for students so that we can work with young entrepreneurs who are passionate about social media, video editing, podcasts, journalism, copywriting, and SEO. We are looking to team up with hard-working individuals who want to earn valuable real life experience and be known for crafting exceptional content.

Business Development Internship (18+)
- Work with COO to develop new business opportunities and assist with sales operations.
- Establish media partnership opportunities for events.
- Work with RMR publication Editor and COO coordinate contests and giveaways.
- Utilize Google Drive, CRM Software, and Social Media
- Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Meetings with Leadership, Publication and Sales Team
Copywriters for Cannabis Products, Email, Advertising Campaigns, and Social Media
- Write Copy For Cannabis Products and Strains
- Assist With Copy For Client Advertising Campaigns
- Craft Copy for Social Media: IG, YT, TT, TW
- Edit All Copy For Email Blasts
- Weekly Reviews of Recently Published Youtube Video Performance
- Weekly Reviews of Recently Published Social Media Performance
Journalists for New Music, Music Event Coverage, and Industry News (18+)
- Write 300, 700, and 1000+ word articles about new music from local and mainstream artists.
- Publish 5-7 Articles Per Week
- Execute interviews and cover local events as press.
- Capture quality photos and produce edited video for social media and articles.
Journalists for Cannabis News, Brand, Product and Strain Features (18-21+ with MMJ rec)
- Write 300, 700, and 1000+ word articles about cannabis industry news, brands, products, etc.
- Publish 5-7 Articles Per Week
- Execute interviews and cover local events as press.
- Capture quality photos and produce edited video for social media and articles.
Journalists for Lifestyle Niches: Travel, Food, Movie, Games, and Entertainment
- Write 300, 700, and 1000+ word articles about a niche that overlaps with our brand.
- Publish 5-7 Articles Per Week
- Execute content about/with notable businesses, movies, games, celebrities, and travel.
- Capture quality photos and produce edited video for social media and articles.
