Joe Montana Invests In Cannabis

Joe Montana, former 49ers quarterback, has made a $75 million investment in Caliva. Caliva is a California based cannabis company. The main focus of the company lies in cannabis products and sales. The investment will contribute to the purchase of a farm, distribution center, and retail space.

Carol Bartz, the former CEO of Yahoo, joins Montana on this investment. This is Joe Montana’s second investment in cannabis. Recently on Pro Football Talk Montana states that he made his first investment in 2017 in a company called HERB. More and more big companies and known celebrities are hopping on the cannabis industry bandwagon to stake a claim in this rapidly growing business sector.
