Keshawn Talk About It

Blowing Up? Keshawn Encourages Us To “Talk About It” In New Video

Fresh off the momentum of his double music video “HeardOfMe + Anybody“, Keshawn is back just a week later with visuals for his new song “Talk About It”.

While the 19 year-old artist is showing no signs of slowing down, the tempo of the new single is dialed back in comparison to his recent output and offers a more intimate look into the psyche of the bubbling rapper. Mentions of being “overworked”, handling the process of getting “on,” and aspirations of making to the “Grammys” are all mulled over by Keshawn with theacknowledgment that “we can talk about it.”

Keeping Up With Keshawn

With a reported estimate of $7,000 to $10,000 going into the video (renting Beverly Hill houses and a Maybach can add up pretty quickly), Keshawn once again makes sure his production value has increased since the last time he dropped some content. If you follow any of his socials, you would see that the aspiring artist recently went to NYC to meet with major labels. Make no mistake, if it seems like Keshawn is leveling up every time you see his name pop up… it’s not an accident.

Not only is the Taj King Ent artist making the moves that are needed to steadily grow a dedicated and organic following, Keshawn is also demonstrating the value in strategically releasing content, rather than dropping projects on a whim. This seems to be a point of emphasis at Taj King Ent considering that Lewie from MKF just dropped his banger “Bounce Bacc” feat Lil Mosey as he begins to tour with the young phenom from Mountlake Terrace. Oh yeah, Keshawn happened to produce “Bounce Bacc” as well!

Let’s Talk About The New Song

Getting back to the music featured in the video, I must say, I found it really impressive to hear this kind of song out of Keshawn. While he’s no stranger to crooning, we haven’t really received a vocal performance from him that was so laid-back. Where as I feel like his vocals often act as another instrument in the overall orchestra of his songs, his voice and what he was saying really stood out on “Talk About It”.

To be to able to successfully switch styles while avoiding sounding like other artists is a very impressive talent to wield. Not to mention, being on the cusp of breaking into the mainstream at such a young age isn’t a scenario most people will go through. So I thought he did a great job of capitalizing on a unique opportunity to describe that experience.

With guitar in hand, laying sprawled out on top of a Maybach cruising at a leisurely pace, “Talk About It” is Keshawn once again exhibiting why he’s one of the hottest rappers doing it in Seattle.
