Seattle rapper and Raider Klan member Key Nyata’s last video offering, Thx Gvrdxxn (Let A N**** Smoke). In the self produced smoked out track, Key Nyata proclaims his love for God’s green (and recently WA legalized) shrub, and ask people to back up off him while he burns his tree. The video features some chopped up imagery and Key walking around what appears to be a high school lounging. I noticed the young prodigy @Bakarisk8s doing his thing in the background as well.
XXL recently put Key Nyata on their ‘The Break‘ series, which is something we have seen as the first “major” step for a lot of artists. We can only wish that Key keeps grinding and can shine even more light on the booming Seattle scene. With a sound nothing like Macklemore’s, it is good to see more attention on the versatility of the region.
