Sam Lachow Is Finally Back With ‘Lady Sunday’ Single and Visual Feat. Dave B.

I don’t give a fuck what anybody says, Seattle hip-hop is just better when Sam Lachow is on the active roster. It’s been well over a year since we’ve heard from one of Seattle’s favorite MC’s. Every hip-hop head in the city rejoiced when the wind carried word that Huckleberry was back, sober, and ready to rap his shit. “Lady Sunday” is the first track since his Motels & Minivans EP dropped last year. After making that entire project on the road during his last tour, it’s good to see this latest visual comes with help from insanely talented individuals like Dave B., John Martin, Justin Frick, Antwon Vinson and Milo Eubank.

Dave B.’s voice and a slew of soulful piano riffs open up Justin Frick’s visuals. The video is full of brilliant textures and colors that make each artist pop on-screen while singing and spitting about the perils and somber security of the weekend warrior lifestyle. Lachow continues to lay his heart out on his sleeve as he opens up about his addiction issues over piano and guitar that lifts your spirits like a church choir. Smooth rhymes and catchy hooks wrapped up in a heartfelt delivery put this track right on par with Lachow’s highest achievements thus far.

If this is any indication of what his next album will bring, we’re in for a real treat.
