LexScope And Scotty Sensei Take Us On A Bar-Laden Journey Through 90s Cult Classics With “Good Riddance”

LexScope found his way into Seattle several years ago from North Carolina and quickly got to work. This is the kind of guy that likes to have his hands in everything creative and has an incredible knack for building connections. A videographer/photographer by trade, Lex can also be seen directing, acting, modeling, designing, filmmaking, skateboarding, and rapping. Last week to celebrate his birthday, he let loose some utterly cinematic visuals with Seattle’s Scotty Sensei for their track “Good Riddance.” In it, you can find Lex and Scotty recreating legendary scenes from four cult classics that further illustrate how murderous the two are together on a beat.

The visuals open on a scene from Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction that shows Lex and Scotty in the notorious black and white attire about to get to work. The first sample you hear the song hit instantly makes you feel like you’re entering a boss battle. As the beat drops, it kicks you in the face with a fat horn stab. Poison Jams really went crazy on this instrumental. You’ll hear a second melody that comes in on some wavy shit that perfectly accents the double-time flows that Lex and Scotty exchange in each verse. Machine gun hi-hat work propels the track forward into the next scene.

Reservoir Dogs is up next, showing a bloodied Lex speeding in the car with Scotty behind the wheel. Lex appropriately begins dropping bars about earning his stripes. He stresses that he and his people are stacking more bread than the nine-to-fivers without needing degrees. This track comes across in some ways like a eulogy for the doubtful masses that have underestimated the young creative’s come-up. Scotty’s confident and cutthroat deliveries in response to Lex keep the track moving at an enjoyable pace.

Lex chugs a beer before duking it out with Sensei as they recreate a Fight Club scene. By now, Lex has to have shown off at least four different flows. This time, it opens up in an almost Flatbush Zombies-esque style of unhinged energy. Scotty keeps it tight with crispy rapid-fire bars as they head into the final scene. The song is completely uncorked by this point, as the song’s producer Poison Jamz joins them for an Office Space-style outro that entails destroying a flat-screen.
