Leyshock drops his 3rd annual birthday song release “Self Esteem” which is also the final song of his 13 month run of one single released per month. Doing this to explore his musical creativity and try out some new things, Leyshock has left us with a bevy of amazing content.
“Self Esteem” is the cap off to a long and fun journey of a change of sound. Usually, Leyshock produces all of his own stuff but for this and one other track he got the beats exclusively from Ryan Smart of Hinterland Sound Studio.
This year changed how Leyshock viewed a lot of things, and he used that to experiment with his sound not only with flows but vocally as well. Trying to do something different each month he would rap more than sing in some and would also mix the two together in others.
“Self Esteem” is a track about Leyshock trying to get his self esteem higher but it just continues to get lower the more he tries. But even though his self esteem is not the best right now, he knows there are a lot of people going through a lot more than him. And wants to show support and help his community not just through music but any means possible.
Leyshock is also a talented producer and has an at home studio where he does a lot of his best work. COVID made it hard for while but now he is looking to expand his horizon and start working with more people in terms of recording and production. So hit him up if you are trying to work and make some heat!
