After years of waiting, Lil Wayne’s album Tha Carter V is finally here. It has been over seven years since the Tha Carter IV dropped, with a few projects/mixtapes released in between.
The hype and speculation has been at an all-time high, due to the mystery surrounding the album specifics. Wayne has talked about a double album, while also hinting that this may be the last album of his career. In the midst of ongoing lawsuits with both Cash Money Records and Birdman, there’s known to be a vault of tracks Lil Wayne has been storing for years. Questions quickly arose regarding whether or not the unreleased, legally-disputed tracks would be a part of Tha Carter V.
Thankfully, we no longer have to wait, as the album has finally surfaced. The project itself is 23 tracks long and includes an extended list of featured artists. This includes names such as Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Xxxtentacion, and more. Listen for yourself on your preferred streaming platform below.
