Long Beach, California has a rich history in rap music. Some of the dopest rappers and producers in hip-hop history have called Long Beach their home. Stars like Snoop Dogg to Vince Staples calls the LBC their stomping grounds. Now I introduce to you another name on that list that you need to get familiar with. DW Flame.
In 2017 DW Flame was exonerated of some criminal charges that would’ve drastically changed the trajectory of his career. Luckily the 24-year-old rapper was released and ready to take on the music game full force. Before getting into the legal trouble, DW was in the process of forming a working relationship with Big Tray Deee of Tha Eastsidaz. Now that the legal issues were behind him they were ready to get to work.
Since then DW Flame has been releasing music consistently and has just released a new video, “Been A Minute.” The three and a half minute long visual starts with DW FLame having a conversation with one of his dead homies in front of a tombstone. The track serves as a reminder of the friends he’s lost in the streets while warning enemies of the extent he’ll take it to, to not lose anymore.
