Last year, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis were coming off the HYPE of 2013 and were getting ready to win some, controversial, to say the least, Grammy’s. But then, we didn’t hear much from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis in 2014. Did they die? Did they get lost in the thrift shop? Where did they go? It sounds like they were in the studio, which is good news for all the Macklemore fans.
Yesterday, we officially got the word that their next album will be coming out in 2015. It’s been rumored that it will most likely drop in the second half of the year. Macklemore recently did an Interview with Hot 97, and it sounds like he’s been working on something special. The duo has a lot to live up to for this release. The Heist was the most successful album to come out of these parts in a long time, and I think artists around the Northwest are looking to see how Macklemore follows it up. The Heist opened a lot of doors for local acts and some artists wouldn’t mind for the next album to do the same. Do you think they will be able to live up to The Heist?
