On November 15th, The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon hosted Macklemore with Dave B and Travis Thompson to perform the song Corner Store.
The track is off his new album Gemini, which he is currently on tour promoting. Thompson had met Mack through The Residency program at the MoPop. Standing out the very first year, he picked up a feature on Mack’s album as well as an opening slot throughout the U.S portion of the tour.
Travis will open for a sold out Macklemore show at the KeyArena on December 22nd. Also on that show are two more Seattle artists, Sol and Xperience. The following night, Dave will be opening up for Mack alongside Seattle’s Otieno Terry for yet another sold out show at the Key.
Two sold out shows only featuring Seattle artists at the god damn KeyArena. Two up and coming artists from the Town being featured on the most popular late night talk show, alongside arguably one of the most famous rappers. I just want to say, thank you Macklemore for bringing some W’s to the Seattle hip-hop scene.
