Macntaj Lays It All On The Table With BDE Freestyle | What Happened?

Sounds like Mac is back to hip-hop on the ‘BDE Freestyle.’

Macntaj made a quick jump from local hip-hop success to national touring EDM vocalist. Infusing Electronic Trap and traditional Hip-Hop, his progressive sound has forged its own lane.  A good example is his “Bang Out” record released earlier this year.

It’s hard to see why anyone would abandon a genre when two of your first 4 major releases are on  Billboard-charting albums. Macntaj simply doesn’t give a fuck. He’s on this earth to make great music and speak real shit. Whether that’s on the bridge of a Trap style EDM record or going bar for bar with hip-hops best.

On ‘BDE Freestyle’ Macntaj hits a line or two that seems to throw subtle salt towards his previous label and tour mate. A name drop for both UZ and Quality Goods pops up mid-verse. We’re not sure what he’s alluding to, but the jump back to rap may be inspired by bad blood. He recently went on 19-day tour with the masked producer and suddenly dropped off the tour without explanation, and we’ve been waiting for new music since.

Regardless, I’m personally happy I can hit the “hip-hop” category for new Mac. The artist is putting out some of the most commercial ready hip-hop in Seattle.
