Mafi D keeps dropping bangers with no intention of letting up. Ever since his December 2019 track, “Poor Decisions,” I’ve become a big supporter of his wave. His ability to ride a beat, hit different flows and styles is something fans always love in an artist. Keeping it fresh and interesting in a day of repetitive hooks, back-boned by catchy samples has been key to his success. His track “One-Sided Friendship” is another prime example of this.
Along with his sound and style, another aspect of Mafi D’s music fans really enjoys is that he always raps about real shit. His music is an in-depth look at his life. What he battles with on the day to day and thoughts that run through his head come out on each track. Last month he brought his bars to life with a visual offering for the recent track.
Mafi D lets his emotions loose as he raps about the simple want of reciprocation. He’s putting in the work, effort, and love just for it to be thrown back in his face as if that’s what’s expected of him.
While he was once there for the same homies that were plotting against him when his back was turned, he’s now over it. He’s leaving them in the dust. While this may not be how he saw things working out, he doesn’t want to see that foul play in his future anymore.
