Isn’t it funny how we always seem to be able to give good advice but rarely are able to take that same advice and implement it in our own lives? We know deep down what the better choice is but still end up making some “Poor Decisions” sometimes. Mafi D expresses his own struggles with the internal battle between common sense and emotions on his recent track. This local talent gives us my favorite track to date from him with “Poor Decisions,” a lyrical and melodic ballad that comes straight from Mafi’s heart.
Catch yourself vibing as soon as the first line hits. With a distinct rapping/wailing type sound Mafi mixes emotionally-charged vocals with hard and expressive lyrics that give a more in-depth look at Mafi D. With references to the iconic Meek Mill project Dream Chasers and a story many relate too. “Poor Decisions” is that banger that, when listening to alone, makes you think. It’ll have you reflecting on past decisions, but not to sulk and live in regret, but to analyze, learn, and grow.

Mafi D raps about real shit when he’s on the mic and we’ve seen examples such as the previously released “Mental Health.” His latest release is yet another example that Mafi’s mind and goals are focused towards bigger matters than just the “turn up.”
