Marijuana Venture Interchange

Marijuana Venture Interchange Conference Recap

This past Thursday and Friday was the Marijuana Venture Interchange conference. The intimate event brings together legal cannabis retailers and growers together in one place to meet, mingle, and talk business!

I arrived in Renton at 8 am on Thursday morning to begin my journey into the event. The open event space had around 40-50 booths set up where retailers had “speed dates” with producers and processors from around the state. A bell is rung every 15-20 minutes which provides the perfect time for retailers to check out product, show value propositions, and discuss numbers.

I came to the event to support our friends at Canna-Exchange with the soft launch of their B2B marketplace. These guys are doing really, really cool things. I wandered around the room for a while talking with sponsors and retailers about their new products and got to catch up with a few cannabis influencers also in the industry. It was great catching up with our friends at SoulShineLemonHaze, NWCS, Have A Heart, Rapper Kush, and Wam Oil.

The day ended in a happy hour and some of our new friends took us out to dinner to continue conversations on how we can build this beautiful industry. Overall this event was very beneficial for networking in the cannabis industry and we’ll definitely be back next year.
