R&B singer Mario has returned with a new song titled “Drowning”, ahead of his upcoming album Dancing Shadows. After having his big mainstream breakthrough in the early 2000’s, Mario has easily established himself as one of the top R&B singers in the 21st century.

Even though he previously released a large amount of work between the years of 2002 – 2009, we haven’t received a new project from him in almost a decade. Thankfully, that’s about to change thanks to his highly anticipated album Dancing Shadows which is set for release in the upcoming weeks.

In his new song “Drowning”, Mario proves that it has been worth the wait as he displays his classic vocals that fans know and love. Throughout the song, he effectively showcases is large rang paired with catchy articulate lines heard in the verses.

The message of the song is about the famous struggle of infatuation and lust, and is backed by a visual that amplifies this theme. The overall energy of the video matches the smooth and sexy feels of the instrumental mixed with the vocals. As a result, the two elements of the song and video intertwine effortlessly.
