Mike Champoux – L.I.F.E. (Free Album)

Mike Champoux drops his latest full length release, L.I.F.E. The 18 track project which was almost entirely produced by Mike Champoux himself and features Grynch, Eighty4 Fly, Gem Starks, Tex and Trent Lamont. This is Mike Champoux’s entrance into the Seattle scene and Northwest hip-hop fans will be sure to dig this one.

These tracks give off a big Macklemore vibe. I believe it’s a combination of beats, effects, and rapping style. I think people in the Seattle area will enjoy the similarities, but it also might get somewhat of a backlash because it sounds so similar. Take a listen for yourself and let us know what you think in the comments below. Do you see the similarities between Mike Champoux and Macklemore’s sounds? Do you think it’s a beneficial thing, or could it be a detriment?

Mike will be on a mini-tour promoting his new album over the next few weeks. This include performances at Recess and Royal Sports. Be sure to check out those events if you are able to.

As always, you can find Mike Champoux on Twitter here: @MikeChampoux. You can get a full album download on the album website as well: www.lifethealbum.com. Be sure to also follow Mike on his Facebook page.
