Following up the release of his single “Baesick” Seattle singer and electronic pop artist Modiv released his new EP “hella feels”. Out this past Valentines Day, you can find the EP on all streaming platforms, including Spotify, YouTube, TIDAL, Google Play & Apple Music.
Blending elements of electronica, hip-hop, pop and much more, the four track EP shows his growth as an artist. “hella feels” shows that he has his sights set beyond the local scene but on pop stardom. Big choruses and catchy anthems make a sure-fire recipe for chart topping hits. Check out “Red Flag” immediately if you don’t believe me. Witty lyricism, bouncy electronic production and an infectious chorus hook you instantly. I’ve had “Red Flag” on repeat since the EP dropped.
Citing The Weeknd, Blackbear and Jez Dior as his main influences, Modiv more than manages to make the lane of dark/moody yet glossy pop his own. The aforementioned first single “baesick” produced by Seattle producer Jake Crocker (Raz Simone, AlunaGeorge, Saint Claire) is a slick take on the dark and brooding genre. Modiv’s pop flair ooze pink into your frequencies.
Make sure to keep tabs on his budding career as he is about to start announcing new shows. Including a headlining set at Substation in June he will be opening for Romaro Franceswa in Pullman and Salt Lake City. He is set to be on the road as much as possible in 2018.
