Honu is known for their award-winning edibles, but they also produce top-notch concentrates. While they are not typically what I associated Honu with I was eager to try their products. Their insanely affordable price and variety of strains may have made me a little excited. I ended up leaving Danks Wonder Emporium with three different types of concentrates. The first one that I tried from Honu was their Mystery Machine. A 50/50 hybrid bred from Girl Scout Cookies, Girl Time, and Scooby Snacks. A perfect tribute to Scooby Doo.
On the front of the packaging, the sticker where the Honu logo is located appears to be dripping. The back features a breakdown of the terpenes that can be found in the PHO: Sugar. A small glass jar contains the concentrate, the screw top is easy to get off even if your hands are wet. There is a spicy earth smell that penetrates the air when you twist off the lid. The dark amber color of the sugar wax glows around its edges when held up to the light.
The flavor profile on Mystery Machine is full of spicey flavors. Subtle hints of a skunky diesel flavor lingered around after my dab. The sativa-indica blend of this strain left me relaxed on the couch, but more social than normal. Perfect for summer nights around a campfire with friends.
