Nitti Gritti’s EP ‘What A Time To Be Alive’ Sets High Standards For 2020’s Bass Music Releases

Nitti Gritti’s newest anticipated EP, What A Time To Be Alive, finally dropped last week. A fire five-song EP featuring Shaquille O’Neal, Ookay, Funtcase and Yako with absolutely nothing short of basement rattling heavy base tracks.

The title track, also the first song of the EP, is grueling start to finish. Strong vocals start off a slow start to an otherwise heavy dubstep beat that makes up the remainder of the song. Get ready to break your neck head-banging if you ever get the privilege of hearing this song live.

“Takin’ Over” freaturing Shaquille O’Neal is another track that will leave bass-heads dizzy. Excruciating drops hit within the first minute of the track and persist for all three minutes and nine seconds thereafter.

“Shenzhen” featuring Yako, the last song of the release, is unique on its own, beginning with a sound differentiating from the rest of the EP. Starting off with somewhat of an eclectic beat, the track quickly delves into an undeniably dirty beat drop with aspects of future bass.

Nitti Gritti begins his new decade by embarking on his 2020 Roshambo tour alongside Wuki. This year is already starting off with incredible mixes and insane collaboration tracks. With the new year and original new music, I can honestly say, what a time to be alive.
