Papaya Punch Strain Review Featuring Glass House Farms Grower's Choice Cannabis In California

Papaya Punch Strain Review Featuring Glass House Farms Grower’s Choice Cannabis In California

Glass House Farms Papaya Punch is a Grower’s Choice limited edition indica dominant hybrid of Papaya mixed with Purple Punch. Cultivated by craft cannabis growers, these small-batch harvests are top of the line.

Glass House Farms describes it’s Grower’s Choice category as “flower that is truly outstanding” and “achieves our absolute highest standard of quality.”

The product tested here comes from a female cultivator who produces super dense, compact, light green buds loaded with terpenes. Devin Granados hails from Santa Barbara county and cultivates cannabis to impart “chill vibes for chill humans.”

In this West Coast Weed Tour Review, Respect My Region’s Joey Brabo explores Glass House Farms Papaya Punch flower by burning it in a bong.

First Impressions

Fresh flower provides a better experience, and the batch tested here was packaged on November 10, 2020, so super fresh. A glass jar wrapped with a sticker label and topped with a plastic, screw-on lid ensures freshness. The label lists total cannabinoids at 24.67 percent, with THC at 21.06, and CBD at .05 percent.

Cracking open the jar released a floral, citrusy aroma. These tight, compact buds smell like dried mangoes when broken apart. No gassy or piney smell to this strain. Instead, as a papaya strain, it’s light, floral, and creamy with a pleasant citrusy scent, just as it should be.

For this one-hit review, I stuffed a snapper in the bowl of a bong (courtesy of Higher Standards and Keith Haring).

When lit up, this flower tastes like slightly citrusy, piney weed. The pine flavor was surprising, as it was completely absent in the aroma. I could feel strong terpenes in the nose and a rush to the back of the head. Pretty tasty overall.

Tasty enough to take another toke.

Conclusion

Glass House Farms Papaya Punch strain was less harsh than other PP versions I’ve had. Glass House Farms gets a lot of credit for this cultivar because of the terps combined with bud structure and a solid presentation.

I like the grower’s card that tells a little bit of the story behind the strain tagged on the jar. More than that, I enjoy the effects – a burst of energy and focus along with a punchy body buzz. Smoking this left me feeling clear-headed with a relaxed feeling in my arms, legs, knees, hips, etc.

I’d like to see some information on genetics, lineage, and terpene profile in the packaging. But overall, considering presentation, color, taste, smell, and potency, Glass House Farms Papaya Punch provides a very high quality experience.

While I don’t personally prefer the punchy strains, I give Glass House Farms Papaya Punch a solid 9 out of 10. Glass House Farms consistently sources top-shelf products, and the body high with this strain is quite pleasant. It’s worth the money.
