You can’t expect a whole lot when you buy a $5 gram. But at the same time, there’s something incredibly alluring about a $5 gram. It’s a low-risk proposition and any flavor or high you get is going to hit a little different just because of the low expectations. The budtender at Emerald Haze Emporium couldn’t have upsold this Papaya Punch strain by Brand X any higher for the price point.
The buds aren’t anything special to look at, just a cluster of tiny bong-buddies. However, the aroma that came out of the Mylar bag was pleasant. There was a definite fruity smell which surprised me.
The smoke wasn’t anything special, just a bland earthy taste without any notable terpenes. However, the high was there. I got a notable buzz from one bowl and the weed didn’t even taste that bad. This Papaya Punch strain wasn’t great, but that’s kind of the point of a $5 gram is it not?
This Papaya Punch strain isn’t a good representation of what this strain could be, but nobody should be expecting that nor a high score at such a low price point. This gram will get you high and that’s just fine for how much it costs.
