We’ve put together a list of the biggest names from Philly currently topping charts along with a few rising artists you need to know this year.

Philadelphia, PA’s very own Meek Mill is arguably the most influential name in the Philly Hip-Hop scene. At an early age, he was involved in street violence. Over the years he has created a label and signed many native artists. He has been a figure of change progressiveness in showing the way to many artists.

Lil Uzi Vert

Lil Uzi Vert born in Philadelphia, PA is one of the biggest hip-hop artists today. Over the years, he has had one of the biggest influences on the genre. Following his collab album with Future, he has been broadening his horizons with his new music. In 2022 he has released music with rising stars such as Yeat, Pink Panthress, shygirl, as well as BAPE’s very own Nigo.

PnB Rock

PnB Rock is best known for his songs “Fleek” and “Selfish”. Born in Philadelphia PA, PnB Rock’s latest album “Soundcloud Daze” features up-and-coming SoundCloud artists he wanted to highlight. He wanted to tap in and help get the younger artist’s music out there.

Armani White is a Philadelphia, PA Native rapper whose new single “Billie Eilish” is trending all over TikTok with 7 million streams. On the platform TikTok, he has 2.7 million views on his debut video showcasing his most recent song. On youtube, he has nearly 900k views in 2 weeks. Before his new single, Armani’s most recent project is called “Things We Lost In The Fire” where he talks about losing 4 family members in a house fire in 2006. In 2018, he released a track called “Casablanco Freestyle” with the coveted producer, Sango.

Leaf Ward

The West Philly native is best known for his true and honest lyricism. Over the years he’s had several viral hits including “County Conversations,” “Concrete,” and “They Forgot.” Leaf Ward is one of the most real rappers that stays true to themselves.

Philly’s Toure has been on the rise in the local music scene. With one of his music videos reaching 1 million, it’s not a question that he’s on his way to being next up. The West Philly rapper has also been given recognition by Philly’s very own Meek Mill.
