GRAM At The Underground September 8th

RAM At The Underground September 8th

Grotesque Records frontman and tech trance titan Ram Boon, otherwise known as RAM on stage, is making his way to the Pacific Northwest to perform at Seattle’s undisputed home for Trance: The Underground.

Ram has been DJing as long as I have been alive; he started in 1995 after years of raving in Amsterdam. He played in a duo called Bas & Ram until 2009 when musical differences split the two apart. With new releases featuring his name in the title, notably RAMsterdam, RAMazing, RAMplify, and more, his work quickly gained support from Armin van Buuren and Aly & Fila, among many other big names in the world of trance.

He has stated that the use of his name in titles of tracks was originally for fun, but it has become the signature for his more melodic and euphoric works.

Where the story behind this incredible artist’s life takes a far different turn than most is the year 2013 when he tragically and unexpectedly lost his wife Amelia. With the pain that he felt, he turned the emotions into a masterpiece, entitled “RAMelia- Tribute to Amelia” with vocalist Susana which is played at every show. It’s truly special that someone could make a work of art so beautiful out of a tragedy that most cannot comprehend. Needless to say, there will be some emotional moments this night amongst the crazy tech trance beats.

You can purchase your tickets and get more info here on the Facebook event page. The Underground is located at 122 South Washington Street in Pioneer Square. You must be 21 years of age or older to enter and there is no dress code. Flow arts and kandi are not only allowed but encouraged!
