RMR’s 8 Year Anniversary Weekend Celebrates Hip-Hop And Cannabis Culture
There was a smell in the air. That familiar smell of cannabis and tobacco knocking off the street signs as I turned the corner and approached eTc Tacoma, one of the city’s drippiest clothing stores. There was a sidewalk party bleeding out of the storefront, DJ Don Gee slapping the windows like eager Black Friday shoppers. Respect My Region’s 8 Year Anniversary Weekend was a celebration of the cannabis and hip-hop culture we represent proudly.
RMR 8 Year Anniversary Weekend: Night 1
Night one featured a 16-part hip-hop cypher. RMR, eTC, Town ENT, and Mixtrap Nation were represented by a four-MC-squad. The 16 MC’s competed in a hip-hop relay race, passing the mic after spitting their best sets of bars. The storefront was packed out for the entire night. MC’s from the entire pacific northwest showed up for their regions and the crowd rocked, screamed and threw hands for the artists all night long.
8 Year Anniversary Weekend: Night 2
Night two was more low-key, but just as loud. Our cannabis social event featured DJ Waffles spinning the regions hottest tracks while attendees mingled with up and coming clothing brands eTc Tacoma and Mediums Collective. Mexi-Jake provided the night’s entertainment with high energy and fierce bars. Meanwhile, everyone enjoyed some of the finest cannabis Washington has to offer from brands like Good Karma Coalition, Legit, Mountain Hi, and ZoZ!
